GLOBAL ONE NEWS (G1) — A country singer in Texas has died after an accidental shooting last week.
Thirty-five-year-old Justin Carter died March 16, his management team confirmed March 21, after a gun in his pocket reportedly went off and hit him in the eye.
The gun was reportedly being used as a prop for a music video being filmed in his apartment in Houston.
Fox News reported Carter’s mother Cindy McClellan also confirmed the incident.
McClellan said, “He was the voice, he was the total package, and we’re trying to keep his legend (alive).”
Carter left behind two children.
The up-and-coming country artist reportedly just signed with Triple Threat Management. Many fans took to social media to pay tribute to him and send condolences to his family.
