GLOBAL ONE NEWS (G1) — A flight from Saudi to Malaysia has been forced to return to the port of origin midflight after a mother told cabin crew she left her child in the terminal.
Flight SV832 of Saudi Arabian Airlines was forced to head back to King Abdulaziz International Airport over the weekend due to the frantic mother’s request.
In an audio recording that circulated online, a pilot can be heard requesting air traffic control operators to allow the plane to return to the airport.
He said, “May God be with us. Can we come back? A passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area.”
Luckily, the flight bound to Kuala Lumpur was cleared to turn back.
It was not clear how or why the mother somehow forgot her child. At least the two are reunited now.
