GLOBAL ONE NEWS (G1) — American actor Luke Perry passed away Monday, Mar. 3 after suffering a massive stroke.

He was 52.

Perry’s publicist Arnold Robinson confirmed the “Riverdale” actor’s death after he was admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles last week.

He had been shooting scenes for the Netflix series as Fred Andrews.

The father of two first created a name in the showbusiness industry after he appeared as the heartthrob Dylan McKay in the 1990s teen drama series “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

Fans and co-workers have attributed Perry as the “nicest guy” and a “consummate professional with a giant heart.”

Perry’s family meanwhile have not disclosed further details about his death and requested for privacy.

Robinson said, “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning.”
