Global One (G1)— Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler is back in the Philippines.

The Venezuelan beauty queen recently headed to Coron, Palawan to promote education to indigenous communities.

Isler is reportedly working with non-profit organization CordAid in a mission to “bring back joy” to the Tagbanwa children and be their voice.

In an interview with CNN Philippines, Isler said, “This community does not want the kids and the youth to just stay in the island weaving and fishing. They want the kids to have opportunities in the outside world.”

Isler’s first visit to Coron came in 2013 when the town was hit by Super Typhoon Yolanda.

She said, “I was clueless in where my reign was leading, and the visit to Coron made me realize what I wanted to do.”

Isler is also exploring opportunities in show business in the Philippines.
