Move over Serena Williams.

Looks like there’s a new female tennis gladiator and its Japanese phenom Naomi Osaka.

The 21-year-old Osaka became the first Asian to be world No. 1 after beating Czech Petra Kvitova in the Australian Open in a thriller 7-6 5-7 6-4.

She’s also the youngest player to hold the top spot since 2010.

Osaka became the first woman in 18 years to win her first two majors back to back.

You may recall the champion won her first grand slam in an upset over Williams during a U.S. Open match filled with shouting and point deductions between Williams and the chair umpire.

No drama this time around.

Tennis great Billie Jean said of Osaka’s win: “Your future is so bright, and your talent, drive, determination will take you far.”
