Global One (G1)— Next time you think about telling a lie, you may want to check around to see if there are any Alexa devices.

An executive from Qualcomm was speaking at the CES expo when Amazon’s Alexa interrupted him to correct his mistake.

Have a look.

The executive said, “Restaurants, hotels, etc,” Alexa responded, “No, that’s not true.”

Reportedly, the Qualcomm demonstration was to show off how the company’s chips power famous technologies.

It seems this Alexa device simply did not want to be at the conference — reportedly, she had refused to answer questions earlier in the demonstration.

Before the incident, the two companies seemed to be very happy to work with each other.

An Amazon executive had said in a statement, “We’re excited to be working with Qualcomm Technologies to demonstrate how voice-first interactions can simplify the in-car experience for customers.”

We’ll have to wait and see if Alexa’s interruptions damper the mood.
