A Lifetime docu-series accusing R&B singer R. Kelly of sexual assault has led pop singer Lady Gaga to apologize for collaborating with him.
In 2013, Kelly — whose real name is Robert — appeared on Lady Gaga’s track “Do What U Want (With My Body).
The two performed the song on Saturday Night Live and at the American Music Awards.
But given the latest allegations, the singer and actress said she will remove the single from all streaming platforms including iTunes.
She posted on Twitter, “I’m sorry, both for my poor judgment when I was young, and for not speaking out sooner.”
In the six-part series, “Surviving R. Kelly,” several women interviewed accused the 52-year-old of sexual assault and physical abuse.
As for Lady Gaga, she said she knows exactly what the women experienced as a victim herself.
She wrote, “I stand behind these women 1000%, believe them, know they are suffering and in pain.”
