Global One News (G1) – Snapping the perfect selfie — we know what you do to get the perfect one!

But listen up — a doctor in California is issuing a warning about so-called “selfie wrist.”

Dr. Levi Harrison says selfie wrist is a form of carpal tunnel syndrome — and it develops from flexing your wrist inward or holding your phone too long without moving.

Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve becomes pressed or squeezed, creating a burning, tingling or numbness.

In fact, reality tv star Kim Kardashian reportedly suffers from carpal tunnel due to taking too many selfies.

She revealed it earlier this year on an episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”

Taking a selfie has also been blamed on some tragic deaths.

Between October 2011 and November 2017 — there had been reportedly 259 deaths associated with taking a selfie.

Most of the deaths coming from the U.S., India, Russia and Pakistan.
