GLOBAL ONE NEWS (G1) — Santa just got a little more presidential.

On Dec. 19, former President Barack Obama surprised kids at Washington Children’s National Health System with a bag full of toys.

Donned in a red Santa cap with a large bag draped over his shoulder, the 44th president greeted patients and their parents with a hearty “Ho, ho, ho!”

He reportedly told them that his reindeer were “snuck in some snow,” but wanted to make sure he visited.

The children and their families, along with hospital staff even sang “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” to the former president.

Obama reportedly went from room to room passing out gifts and talking with the kids.

Many of the families he visited were spending the holidays in the hospital.

He gave a teenage girl makeup and nail polish and reportedly told her, “Wherever the family is, wherever the people you love are, that’s where Christmas is.”

For the kids he couldn’t visit, he sent them a video message.
