GLOBAL ONE NEWS (G1) — A Florida official has come under fire for her handling of election ballots in three tightly contested races with recount implications.

Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes reportedly mixed up more than a dozen rejected ballots with approximately 200 valid ones — with Republicans calling for her firing.

[Marco Rubio]: “This is a pattern of at a minimum — incompetence — and it’s embarrassing to the state. Voters deserve better. This is not even a partisan thing. This is a county that apparently can not count votes.”

President Donald Trump weighed in: “She has had a horrible history… and all of a sudden they’re finding votes out of nowhere.”

Politico reported a judge in May ruled Snipes broke federal law when ballots were destroyed in  Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz 2016 Democratic primary.

She is also the subject of a lawsuit by the American Civil Rights Union with the Circuit Court of Appeals questioning her handling of potentially ineligible voters.
