GLOBAL ONE (G1) – When a young child who’s about to have brain surgery asks you for a favor, you do it.
So Jason McKie’s surgeon did just that and performed surgery on the little boy’s teddy bear right before Jason was put to sleep for his operation.
The 8-year-old had surgery to remove a cyst from his brain.
Jason asked Dr. P. Daniel McNeely, who works at a hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia if he could treat his toy bear — named Little Baby — which had a tear in his arm.
So, the surgeon got his tools and patched Little Baby up.
The doctor posted the picture on Twitter with the caption “Patient asks if I can also fix teddy bear just before being put off to sleep… how could I say no?”
The doctor said he just wanted people to smile.
The boy’s dad said his son was “tickled pink” after he woke up to find his beloved teddy was all better too.
