GLOBAL ONE NEWS (G1)—He’s one of the most decorated soccer players in the world —considered by many as the greatest of all time.
Now, Cristiano Ronaldo is facing rape allegations by a woman who is also suing him.
Thirty-four-year-old Kathryn Mayorga alleges the Portuguese soccer star sexually assaulted her multiples times in his Las Vegas hotel room in 2009.
Ronaldo dismissed the allegation, calling it “fake news.”
According to Germany’s Der Spiegel magazine, Mayorga filed a report with Las Vegas police shortly after the alleged attack.
However, she reportedly reached an out-of-court settlement with Ronaldo for $375,000 — a payment agreeing never to go public with her allegations.
In Mayorga’s civil complaint, she alleges she was coerced into signing a nondisclosure agreement in 2010, and her lawyers are looking to have the NDA overturned.
Meanwhile, Las Vegas police said in a statement they have reopened the case, and “detectives are following up on information being provided.”
