UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) – President Donald Trump says the U.S. plans to impose more tariffs on Chinese goods worth $200 billion, as part of the ongoing trade war between the two countries.

A list of the goods, set to be hit by a 10 percent tariff, was released by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative on July 10.

This is on top of the 25 percent tariff on Chinese goods worth up to $50 billion, imposed by the U.S. last week.
A public hearing will take place before the latest tariffs are imposed in the fall.

This news follows China’s announcement to increase its taxes on the U.S.

Trump said in a statement in June, the U.S.’s relationship with China is important to him. However, he thinks trade between the nations is “very unfair” and the situation is “no longer sustainable.”
