UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — A Hollywood actor was thankful not to find himself in a catch-22 like the miniseries he’s starring in.
On Tuesday, July 10, George Clooney was involved in a collision involving his motorbike and a car on the Italian island of Sardinia.
Clooney was riding a scooter to the set of “Catch-22,” a Hulu miniseries when a Mercedes cut in front of him.
Clooney told his friend, CNN contributor John Avlon, he was going around 65 mph when the crash occurred.
He also told Avlon that he smashed the windshield with his head and flew about 30 feet from the car.
The 57-year-old walked away without any serious injuries or broken bones and was briefly hospitalized.
Olbia Police Commander Giovanni Mannoni said Clooney will be monitored as an outpatient for 20 days.
Clooney plans to resume filming on “Catch-22” in a couple of days.
