United News International (UNI)- Montana police officials experienced a miracle Sunday, July 8 when they found a tiny, missing five-month old baby boy buried under debris.
Deputies of the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Lolo Hot Springs area the night before following reports that a man was threatening people.
Police arrived to an incoherent 32-year-old Francis Carlton Crowley who claimed he abandoned the baby after crashing his car because he was ‘too heavy.’
Police scoured the mountains for hours searching for the baby, until finally they heard a small cry nearby.
Around 2 a.m., police found the baby boy face-down under sticks and debris.
Police estimated the baby had been there for at least nine hours before they found him, but he was alive and responsive.
Crowley has been charged with felony assault of a minor under 36 months and felony criminal endangerment.
