UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Comedian Bill Cosby has been convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in his home in 2004.

After deliberating for more than 12 hours, a jury found Cosby guilty of three counts of indecent aggravated assault against Andrea Constand.

The verdict was handed down April 26 in a Pennsylvania courthouse.

Each count is listed as a felony and carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

Five other women who said Cosby sexually assaulted them also testified on behalf of the prosecution.

Meanwhile, the defense argued Constand made up the story about being drugged and assaulted in order to get money out of the actor.

The case was a retrial.

The first case ended in a mistrial last summer after a jury failed to reach a verdict.

More than 60 women have accused the 80-year-old of sexually assaulting them.

Cosby has denied the allegations.
