UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor faces criminal charges following a rampage behind the scenes of a UFC event.

New York City police have reportedly charged McGregor with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief.

Video cameras were rolling Friday morning, April 6, as officers led him out of the Brooklyn precinct in handcuffs.

Less than 24 hours earlier, McGregor and his entourage allegedly attacked a busload of MMA fighters near the loading dock of the arena where UFC 223 will take place on Saturday.

Three fights have already been scratched from the card due to the incident: two because fighters suffered injuries in the melee and one because of Artem Lobov’s alleged involvement as part of McGregor’s entourage.

Earlier in the week, UFC President Dana White announced McGregor — who has not fought in the UFC since November 2016 — would be stripped of his lightweight championship.
