UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Conor McGregor and his entourage stormed UFC 223 media day and allegedly attacked a busload of fighters.
Trash cans went flying April 5 near the loading dock of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Cellphone video even appears to show McGregor charge the bus with a metal barrier.
UFC President Dana White tells reporters one fighter, Michael Chiesa, has been hospitalized with cuts to his head and face.
White calls McGregor’s outburst the “most disgusting” thing that’s ever happened in the UFC. He added, “You can imagine he’s going to be sued beyond belief, and this was a real bad career move for him.”
White says there’s a warrant out for McGregor’s arrest, but New York police have confirmed only that they’re investigating the incident.
Just one day earlier, White announced McGregor, who hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2016, was being stripped of the lightweight championship.
Witnesses spotted McGregor leaving Barclays Center in a black SUV.
