UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Philippine authorities with the help of Norway and the United States apprehended a suspected child pornography distributor north of Manila.
Norwegian investigators tipped off Philippine authorities in January about the suspect Anselmo Ico Jr.
They were led to Ico after arresting a man for purchasing child pornography and taking over his Skype account.
Ico allegedly used Skype to livestream sex videos involving minors.
Philippine law enforcement agencies joined with Norwegian and U.S. authorities including the FBI to raid Ico’s home on March 8.
In addition to arresting Ico, authorities were able to rescue five minors.
National Bureau of Investigation Director Dante Gierran said Ico is being charged with human trafficking, child abuse, child pornograhy and cyber crime.
Ico told The Associated Press he produced the videos but said the sex acts were staged.
