UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — A Russian man reportedly stole an armored vehicle, smashed it through a store window and stole a bottle of wine.
But police say he was already drunk.
It happened Jan. 10 in the Arctic town of Apatity in extreme northwestern Russia.
Images from the scene — which included tank tracks on snowy streets, a crumpled car, broken glass and surprisingly calm onlookers — quickly started making their rounds on social media.
Luckily, no one was hurt.
According to Russian news agencies, police say the man stole the armored personnel carrier from a nearby training ground. It did not contain any weapons, however.
After crashing into a parked car and driving into the storefront, the man popped the hatch and hopped to the ground.
Hibinform news agency reports he grabbed some wine off the store shelves shortly before police detained him — bottle in hand.
